Meese has traveled, lived, studied, and worked in Mexico, Italy, the West Indies, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

Her works have progressed through many exhibitions and competitions.
In 1990 she exhibited at
The Studio Arts Center International : Florence, Italy
In 1993, she had duo exhibitions at
L'Alliance Francaise de Dhaka : Bangladesh
and at
The Third Eye : Kathmandu, Nepal
In 1998 she was awarded Best of Show for a mixed media painting in a technique that she developed.

Meese's work has been described as Oriental-flavored, Pre-Raphaelite gone modern, Cosmopolitan, Sensual,
and 'a fruity drink'.

.Meese, a resident of Richmond, Virginia, is the owner of
"The Friend House Gallery" in Petersburg, Virginia.

A retired school psychologist in the Richmond Public School system, she holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and has post graduate studies in fine art, creative writing, and art therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University, the George Washington University, and the Studio Arts center International in Florence, Italy.

The Friend House Gallery is located in  the recently restored
Nathaniel Friend House, a historic residence built circa 1816
in  historic Petersburg, Virginia, just south of Richmond.
The gallery address is 27 & 29 Bollingbrook Street,
in the Old Towne area of Petersburg
